Well, I am making such progress and I even got a day away. I have discovered that Valdosta is always busy . . . I was there on Friday, thinking it would be quieter since people were at work. I was wrong! It was just as crazy on a Friday as it was on Saturday.
Saturday, I had a Gainesville adventure. Started with a quick trip to get an oil change and change of address at the bank. Well, the branch I wanted to change my address at was closed so I had to trek over to the 20th Ave branch - in the pouring rain. Then I went for a quick oil change that turned into an oil change, belt adjustment, and radiator flush - way more money that I was anticipating. Also, not expecting to hear that my battery was losing its charge so that led to a long trip to Sears, who told me that my battery was fine but it did need a charge. We will see what occurs at my next oil change. My Walmart trip was interesting - I never thought I would say my Walmart in Tally was less ghetto than the one I went to on Saturday - OMG it has gone downhill. Actually, I should say, it looks the exact same way it did when I shopped there in the late 80s. The only good thing about all of these trips taking so long was I got to have dinner with Rachel and Josh. It was great to catch up with them. While Walmart has not been touched since the 80s - downtown Gainesville continues to grow, and grow, and grow. I am not sure there are any trees left. It is very nice only being 100 minutes from my favorite city.
I do have to admit that I, in typical family fashion, slept on my sofa last night. It is a trait that many of my family members indulge in and now that I own a sofa . . .
Today, I have spent organizing the utility room and remaining boxes in my house. Can you believe I am over half way done unpacking. I am amazed. I was so much more organized in my packing and I think that makes all the difference!
The house should be ready for visitors very soon!
For tonight . . . I'm just sayin'
XOXO
