Giving Thanks

This Thanksgiving holiday I am very thankful for so many things:

  1. I am thankful that my medical issues are under control right now. The pulmonary appointment went well and there is nothing new to be concerned about, which is great news. My cancer remains stable and I am controlling the adrenal gland insufficiency and diabetes. While the fatigue still plagues me, this is the best I have felt in a year.
  2. I am thankful for my family. My mom and I have settled into a routine. My family helps me with my limitations and is there to support me on this adventure. I enjoy our family traditions. We have very interesting conversations and laugh all the time.
  3. I am thankful for my friends. They bring me much laughter, great conversations, and support. It is nice to hear their updates and see all of the pictures of their children and grand kids.
  4. I am thankful for my cats who give me unconditional love.
  5. I am thankful for my new home and landlord. I feel like I am living in a home again. Unpacking is well underway. The cats wish the box towers would stay forever but they are managing. My landlord is responsive and very kind.
  6. I am thankful for the Thanksgiving dinner that my mom made and the fact that I was able to eat it.
  7. I am thankful my mom is retired and beginning to settle into retirement life.
  8. I am most thankful for each day and what it brings. I am aware of how fortunate I am to be here and do not take that for granted. I look forward to what the next year will bring.

 For tonight . . . I'm just sayin' XOXO
