Monday's Excitement...I am OK!

Mom left on Saturday to go home for a few days, which left my uncle and I together. All was going well and I was recovering. Then Sunday night, I started to get sharp, intermittent pains in the middle of my back, a numbness along the bottom of my ribs/chest and pressure along the top of the chest on the right side. (Side note: During my biopsy they had to deflate my right lung.) In typical Tara fashion, I decided to wait to see what was going on. Throughout the night, I kept waking up in discomfort, which was unfortunate because things were doing well.

Up to this point, I was walking each day:

  • Thursday - to the mailbox
  • Friday - one house past the mailbox
  • Saturday - two houses past the mailbox
  • Sunday - three houses past the mailbox

Monday morning, when none of the symptoms subsided, I did the responsible thing and had my uncle take me to the ER.

They would not let him come in with with me due to Covid-19. I went in and he waited in his car. They did a blood draw, EKG, chest x-ray, a CT scan, and then a final blood draw. After five hours (and yes, my uncle was still in his car), they ruled out a cardiac episode, collapsed lung, and blood clots. The ER doctor thought maybe pneumonia, possible nerve compression, or just healing from the procedure. I went home and worked from the recliner with my trusty sidekick:
What a day!

For tonight . . . I'm just sayin' XOXO
