Chemo #2....Half way there to surgery!

This was a busy week. My Uncle John and Grandpa Orlowski came to visit me. It was a quick trip, which I know was a very long drive for them but I had a great time. It was so wonderful to spend a few days with some of my favorite people.

On Wednesday, we headed to Jax for a few tests and chemo on Thursday.

It is hard to get used to having to be driven places and getting help but I am learning to accept it. Once again, I tested negative for COVID.

I forgot to get a picture but we had dinner with Matthew and Krissy at an Edgar Allan Poe themed restaurant. It was fun to be with family. We were missing Uncle Michael, Aunt Missy, and Uncle Mike. Soon, we will all be together.

Thursday morning, the guys left to go home. Mom and I geared up for treatment #2. You may notice a few extra bracelets added to the group.

Today, I had my second chemo treatment. Each chemo treatment, I intend on wearing a different shirt that represents me. The first on said Fabulous, in case you couldn't read it in the picture. This week, my shirt was custom made by a very special friend and her daughter-in-law. We were talking on the phone one night and I mentioned getting shirts with sayings on them to show my strength to beat this. I also shared with her that my cancer colors are ironically orange (kidney) and blue (Mesothelioma). More importantly, these are the color of the Gator Nation, which I am proudly proud to be a part. This shirt arrived late last week and I proudly wore it because after all, it is true!

I know that as the poison it is going into me, my squad standing with me in thoughts and spirit is helping me fight this fight. Every minute it goes in is one more minute I am winning.

Sydney and I traveling home. When I cuddle with him, it takes me back to when I was little and my Nana McCool was with us. I know she is with me everyday, along with my Grandpa McCool, Grandma Orlowski, Dad, Aunt Karen, Uncle Jamey, and Hazelwood.

I am exhausted so I am headed to bed!

For tonight . . . I'm just sayin' XOXO
