Is it really only the end of the second week?

Wow, it feels like I have been going to school forever!  It feels good to be a student again.  Being on campus is very refreshing.  I took a little tour last week of the sculptures on campus.  Take a few minutes and check out the website (http://www.arts.ufl.edu/crossingpaths/), click on "Sculptures" to see a slideshow.  I took lots of pictures but this is a nice show of all of the pieces.  It is truly amazing.  I have to say that my two favorites are "Summer Thinking" and "My World."  I also had the opportunity to tour the Teaching Center - what an amazing facility.

Classes went well - it is validating that so far, I am doing well.  My teaching is great.  I have an excellent group of students on all campuses.  It is fun to have such a diverse group of students.  I am able to examine the differences in experiences, backgrounds, and future goals.  It is fascinating - this could turn into a doctoral project.

I spent the weekend doing homework, reading, and grading papers.  I feel very collegiate.

Work was also very interesting this week.  I have always said that I felt all of my past jobs have prepared me for where I am in my current life and that was tested the most this week.  I am even more thankful for my past experiences because it made me look at things in an educated light.

Have a wonderful week!

For tonight . . . I'm just sayin' XOXO
