What a day! I am exhausted. I got up at 8:00 AM so I could take the trash to the Collection Center before Pest Control came. Then I worked on work projects all morning - I love computers but sometimes emailing attachments is a lot of work. Then I caught up with email and had lunch. More work in the afternoon and then time to feed the animals.
Today's adventure . . . I went out to take care of the animals and didn't see them. So I took the carrots out there and a hook with me. A hook you ask? Well, the animals tend to take one of the feeding bowls and move it just far enough away from the fence that I can't put food in it. Normally, the animals are right on top of me so trying to retrieve the bowl is impossible. But not today, which had me a little worried. I looked in the second pasture, nothing. So I got the bowl. Emptied water from the other bowl and went to the feed barn. At this point, the animals are always heading my way . . . but not today. So I got the food and put it in the bowls. Now, I am really looking around because they have never missed mealtime with me. Then all of a sudden, donkey appeared from behind the barn - apparently he was visiting with Rain, the neighbor's horse. So he trotted over but still no goats. Then one came out from under the barn, then another, and finally all four of the animals were eating and I was very relieved.
After all of that, I started working on boxes. Mom is coming tomorrow so I wanted to have the house in better order. I really wanted to tackle my library. So I started working and working. Then I had a dilemma - it was 8:00 PM and Emmitt Smith was on TV but I wanted to keep working. I have not purchased a new TV yet so my library is without one. But then I saw it . . . my 1980s Commodore 64 monitor. Some might ask why I still have it; well those who know me know I cannot throw anything that is still in working order away. Maybe I am from the Depression Era, I do not know but I was thankful to have it tonight. I hooked it up to the cable box and viola - television! That being said, I got 19 boxes unpacked tonight.
For those of you following the blog closely will ask how does 94 minus 19 equal 79. Well, I brought home four boxes on Thursday from work. During the move, I would bring things to the office I did not want to lose for teaching. Then my spring cleaning mood kicked in on Thursday and I packed it all up to de-clutter.
For tonight (really this time) . . . I'm just sayin'
XOXO
