Knowledge Confirmed

So, today confirmed for me several things.  First, the "people" on the other end of the phone will say anything to get you to hang up.  Second, if you are persistent but polite, you will eventually find someone who believes in customer service and does their job well.  Many of my friends and family have heard the long drawn out story about setting up phone/Internet/cable in the country.  To summarize, the choices are extremely limited and not all services are readily available.  It took 4 operators and several phone calls to set-up the service.  Each phone call resulted in a different quoted monthly bill.  Then I received my first bill and, in the words of Joey, "whoa!"  So the phone calls began because everything quoted to me on the phone was not in any of my notes.  The first few people basically said "Sorry but this is how it is."  The next one said they would have a manager call me back because they were not available and no one ever called me back.  So today, I decided I would try one last time.  I analyzed my bill and made notes of all my questions.  I then called and asked for a manager right way, Tamara (the phone angel) said that she needed to know what was going to get a manager.  I explained it and she went through everything one item at a time and 3-wayed the Satellite company to resolve ALL of my issues.  At the end of the call, we were where I wanted us to be, no one lost their cool, and the monthly total (which was the 8th price I have been quoted) was reasonable.  Since she made my day, I did take the time to hold to speak to a manager and let them know how helpful she was.  I think it is so important to report acts of kindness as well as complaints.  What an experience!

On the home front, the animals were so cute this afternoon.  When I got home they were playing chase with each other and talking a lot.  It was so cute - they were running around and the donkey was playfully herding the goats.  I love having them here.

For tonight . . . I'm just sayin'
XOXO
