Well, I apologize for not blogging in the past few days but what a week. To begin with, I have made a lot of progress getting my stuff out of boxes. 11 boxes on Sunday and 32 Monday - hooray for President's Day!!!!! This means that 50% of my clothes are unpacked, 75% of the kitchen, and 95% of the bathroom - it appears that I have a problem finishing a room.
So, I found out that the gas station is full serve so that mystery is explained. It was still very nice and something that I am not used too!
In my quest to adjust to country life, I am now feeding the donkey and the goats. I have never been around a donkey before - they are so smart, who knew. He is so cute and sweet! The goats are also a lot of fun - it is so interesting watching them all interact and get along.
My students have decided that my cat is "city" just like me! He is totally spoiled and spends the day lounging on my king size bed - he would never survive outside like country cats.
Well for now, I am off to grade papers and get ready for another day. Have I mentioned that I love being 10 minutes from work. I really am enjoying living in the peaceful country. Today, I drove on some back roads. It was nice to be on these roads that are lined with farms and homes spaced apart. No one on the road except for cars that are very few and far between.
For tonight . . . I'm just sayin'
XOXO
I knew you would love it! And now Hazelwood has friends, even if they are outside the window!
