Beginning of a New Adventure

Well, I am officially living in the middle of nothing!  My GPS nor Google Maps can find my new house.  In one way that might be good, no unwanted visitors.  On the other hand . . . .

With the help of the most incredible people in the world, all of my stuff made it to Madison, Florida.  For those of you who do not know where Madison, FL is . . . . it is half way between Lake City and Tallahassee along I-10.  I call it a little treasure in the woods.  You wouldn't know about it unless you were seeking it out!

Tonight is the first night I will be sleeping in my new house.  The country is very quick and cold.  I got the electronics set up in the living and bedroom.  Wireless Internet did not go as smooth and with deadlines approaching, I decided to be responsible and get my work done before I invested a lot of time.  So I connected to the Internet with the cable and got all of the coursework done for tomorrow.  While I tend to make all of my deadlines, sometimes I cut it a little short.  For example, I finished packing at 4:30 AM on Saturday morning.  However, when the crew arrived - I was ready to go.

During my apartment walk through, she asked if I really lived there.  She had not seen an apartment in such good shape after 5 years, especially since I have a cat.  And speaking of Hazelwood, he is settling in.  He is pretty much staying on the bed - I think for him, it is the most secure place he knows.  He has explored the entire house and seems happy.

Only time will tell how much we like living without a Target, Best Buy, Publix, or Borders within 10 minutes but then again maybe it will be restful and relaxing.  Tomorrow I will tack organizing the chaos so I can be at peace.  On Saturday, Shawn asked how I was doing with all of this and I could only respond "Overwhelmed."  Boxes are everywhere and I can't find some of the cables I need.  By the end of the week, I think I will move away from "Overwhelmed" to what, I am unsure but I will let you know.

For tonight . . . I'm just sayin'
XOXO,City Girl in the Country
