Apparently My Realtor Is an Oncologist, Who Knew!?!

The broker for the real estate company came out today to see what was happening with my toilets. She informed me that the toilets are just fine and I need to just flush it several times. I find it funny that I have used bathrooms for 45 years of my life but this is the first house that I have misused the bathrooms. Even my 100-year-old house in Madison had working toilets. 

I tried to explain that this is the fourth time in five months this has been a problem. The last three times I was left without working toilets for days. When this happens, I have had to bring someone in to clean because of my health issues. She told me I can live with how it is right now. There is nothing wrong. She was going to talk to the plumber to see what they thought but the house was livable. She also said that she wasn't going to put money into something that was livable because of my personal needs and used air quotes for personal needs.

She said to me that it looked like I had not unpacked very much. I explained that I have not been able to unpack because these plumbing issues keep happening.

I tried to explain what happened the last three times and she cut me off telling me the house was livable with a raised voice. She told me that the owners lived in this house for 3-5 years with no issues until I moved in. I told her that was a not true and a lie. I walked her into the bathroom and showed her the rust on the floor where rust was. With her finger pointing at me, she told me it was dirt and not rust. I needed to clean the floor as well as clean the toilet. I explained the toilet was dirty because it backed up. She told me I needed to clean it. I explained why I couldn't clean it and she told me that I could clean it regardless if I had cancer. I was fine and people live long lives with cancer and I would be fine. I guess I do not need my doctors anymore now that my realtor has spoken?!?

I told her to leave my house because I wasn't going to be spoken to in that manner in my house. She told me it wasn't my house, I was just a renter. I escorted her to the door. 

As she left, she indicated she had been recording our conversation without my knowledge. If that is true, it tells me everything I need to know about her. Not to mention all of the things I have read on the Internet about her.

She said as she was leaving that the house was fine and livable and my cancer was fine. I told her that she didn't know anything about my cancer so stop making assumptions. She told me I didn't know her either. I shut the door and thought to myself, I beg to differ.

People's character cannot be hidden. In the past two years, I have seen the character of a lot of people throughout my adventure. I am very lucky because the majority of people in my life have strong characters.
