It has been one month since the flood. The restoration work has not begun but I remain ever hopeful it will be started within the next two weeks. If my landlord had not drug their feet, this could have been done by now. We are making progress. the plumber moved the hot water heater so the restoration work could begin. The restoration company is waiting for a check before they will start this project.
Meanwhile, the house toilets stopped working again! I reported it last Wednesday when the first toilet stopped. Saturday night, while I was sick as a dog, the second toilet went out. I emailed my landlord right away. Sunday morning at 10:30 AM, I texted. I texted again at 12:30 PM. 30 minutes later I get a response that he approved the plumber the week before, didn't they call? When I said, "No." He agreed to call them. At 4:15 PM, I had to follow-up. Basically, plumbing company had no one to send so they think it is acceptable to leave me one more day without running plumbing. I expressed my opinion on the subject and was basically told they were addressing my issues and had addressed all of my issues so far. Their idea of handling things and mine are very different.
The plumber came Monday morning to get the toilets working. He was back Tuesday to camera the line and reseal the toilet. On Wednesday, they are going to look at the video to see what may be causing this issue. At this point, the plumber is here so much, I am thinking of giving him a key.
