And the Results of the Bloodwork Are......

Yesterday, I had bloodwork to see if the blood transfusion work. I got the results from the doctor today. My hemoglobin has significantly improved and my platelets are in a good place. This was the first piece of good news my family has received in awhile.

Then at 5:30 PM the fellow who works with my oncologist at Mayo called me. It always impresses me when I hear from Mayo after 5 PM. I told him the results of the labs and he was very happy. While he will consult with my oncologist, he shared that their plan is to move forward with the immunotherapy after the holidays. 

He thinks my fatigue, labored breathing, and cough (yes, it is back for those of you who remember it from June 2019) are all side effects of the cancer. 

My plan is rest the next two weeks to continue to strengthen my body so I am prepared for the fight in January.

In other news, I was on a phone meeting the other day and this is what surrounded me:

Two minutes after this was taken, Princess Pancake (my precious little girl) reached out and smacked Dame Marmalade, who was doing nothing, three times until she left us. Thirty minutes later, they both were sleeping in bed together cuddled next to each other. Funny girls!
