On the road again and again and again
What a week . . . I went over 1300 miles this week. A lot of one day road trips . . . Pensacola, Orlando, Tallahassee, St. Pete, and back to Tallahassee.
On Monday, I went to Pensacola and spent the day with wonderful colleagues - people with a shared vision and passion.
On Wednesday, I went to Orlando to a great conference - full of inspiring ideas for work. I got to see a great friend for lunch. I also got to see my big little brother. He totaled his truck last Friday so he had been stuck in his dorm room, besides going to school.
Although, truth be told my mom had gone the day before. He would never had survived like I did for four years with a car in college.
On Friday, I traveled to Tallahassee to meet with awesome work friends and then have dinner with another friend. We finally saw each other to celebrate birthdays from over 6 weeks ago. I am now addicted to my new game.
On Saturday, I went to St. Pete to support my best friend through a time of need. Unexpectedly, we lost her ex-husband on Wednesday. Mark was full of life and will be dearly missed by all the lives he touched.
My last trip, today, was back to Tally to help another dear friend with her cruise wardrobe. Word of advice, don't go to a sports bar on Sunday when you are starving - the table will never come fast enough.
All of these events remind me how we need to make sure to take time for ourselves and cherish life. It is so precious and we never know when today will be our last. Take time for the things you love and let go of the things that frustrate you - they are not worth the energy.
For tonight . . . I'm just sayin' XOXO
