So it all started this morning. I did not want to get out of bed. I finally got up and went out to the car to find that I had left the trunk open all night long. My fear was that I killed the battery but fortunately, the car started right up - yeah, Honda!!!!!
Then I went to work, where I was ultra productive - although not enough because I still have about two hours left ahead of me tonight. I had a great class tonight and headed home. . . . .
I could not get the condensation off the windows or my glasses. Then I got home, open the gate and got the mail, just like normal. I drove through the gate, got out closed the gate and got back into my car. I put the car in drive and then . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
to what to my wondering eyes should appear but the donkey right in front of my car! Yes, you heard correctly, the donkey was in my yard and not in the pasture. When I hit the garage door opener, he moved over to the grassy area next to the driveway. I drove into the garage and got out of the car. Donkey was standing right outside the garage just looking at me. I ran inside to change shoes and get the flashlight. Last time this occurred it appeared that someone left the gate open. This time, the gate was locked. I opened the gate only to have the big goat right there. He tried to get out. It was quite a spectacle watching me trying to keep the three goats in and get the donkey to go through the gate. We went back and forth for a while. The goat was getting a little testy and tried to butt me out of the way, although very gently! Every time I would get the donkey to get near the gate, the goats tried to escape. It took about 30 minutes to finally getting all four animals on the right side of the gate. Then off to get food, only to find the huge spider web. Thank goodness I spotted it with my flashlight but it was in an area I normally walk through and the spider who owned the web was enormous. I finally made it to the feed barn only to hear a buzzing sound - wasps in the door! I had to empty the water out of the feed bowls then I feed the animals and slowly returned to the feed barn to avoid a stinging. I made it back into the house at 10:15. I decided to shower before eating and working. I was in the shower washing my hair and I felt something on me . . . . . . . . .
It was a grasshopper! In fact, two little ones were in the shower. I may have had enough country nature for one evening. Now I am off to work on my report, eat dinner, and study for the GRE!
For tonight . . . I'm just sayin' XOXO
PS - I go to start working on my report and I cannot find my Flashdrive. So I put on clothes and then . . . . .
I can't find my keys! Turns out in all of the donkey drama, I left them in the door!
