I have never been so happy to see my bed! I just got back from two great conferences and a wonderfully relaxing weekend. All that being said, it is nice to be home and back in my quiet little life.
Just a quick update to things . . . I had a wonderful birthday and celebrated with wonderful friends. Every year we seem to top the year before. My presentation went great - I had about 50 people and no one left early! I attended some great sessions and bought some great books for teaching.
Then off to mama bear's house for the weekend. She had a very precious birthday card for me, which made me cry. She also bought me a book about the Secret Lives of Princesses. How appropriate! We went to the mall Saturday night, which was a lot of fun. We had not been shopping in a long time. I could not believe how hopping the Melbourne Square Mall was - it is filling back up again. I actually found a pair of shoes I was looking for - that hardly ever happens.
Then I was off to conference number two. The sessions were very informative - boy I have a lot of work to do when I get back to work! I have to also say, the hotel did some innovative things for meal time - and yummy too! I was also very productive in grading and walking. Speaking of walking, I did my first Geocaching with a colleague from work. It was a lot of fun. I have other family and friends who do this and since I am a geographer, I think I might start. I think it is cleaver how the clues and coordinates lead you on a fantastic scavenger hunt all of the place.
For tonight . . . I'm just sayin' XOXO
Was great to see you in Tampa and to spend a few hours getting caught up and watching you turn another year older! ;-) (You will always be a beautiful young Princess!)
